Memorials

Memorial gifts provide remembrance of a loved one or friend and are a thoughtful way to recognize a special person’s life. Your gift pays tribute to a loved one or colleague, while promoting a legacy of learning.

When memorial gifts are made, the family of the deceased will receive a gift acknowledgement recognizing the donor without divulging the amount of the gift. If you request that the gift amount is to be disclosed, we will be happy to oblige. As the donor, you will receive a receipt to record your tax deductible donation.

Honorariums

Honorarium gifts and endowments pay tribute to the living. There’s no better way to honor and say “thank you” to a colleague, friend, community leader, or family member than establishing an Honorarium Endowment to recognize that person’s contributions to the community or district. As with a memorial, this gift not only recognizes the honoree, but contributes to the educational opportunities provided by Mansfield ISD in a way that would make anyone proud to receive.

When you give an honorarium gift, the honoree will receive a gift acknowledgement recognizing the donor without divulging the amount of the gift. If you request that the gift amount is to be disclosed, we will be happy to oblige. As the donor, you will receive a receipt to record your tax deductible donation.

Planned Giving

Planned giving leaves a legacy of learning for future generations of children in our community. By including Mansfield ISD Education Foundation as a beneficiary of your estate or will, your investment will become a lasting legacy that benefits our students and schools for years to come.

Endowment

The Mansfield ISD Education Foundation has established an endowment fund with the intent to sustain support for Mansfield ISD, not just for a year, a decade, but for generations. By preparing for the future, we provide a foundation that will be vital to Mansfield ISD continuing as a destination district, even years from now when today’s students are parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents.

What is an Endowment Fund?

Endowment Funds are monies typically held in long-term investments with the principal remaining untouched, allowing the funds to have greater impact over time. The money may be permanently restricted, temporarily restricted, or unrestricted in its use, based on the request and intent of the donor.

Why is an Endowment Fund Important?

The money held in our Endowment Fund generates interest and dividend income that as it grows may one day be used to support programs, initiatives, or even foundation staff by providing a permanent ongoing source of revenue.

Is a gift to the Endowment the right fit for me?

We encourage donors to consider contributing to the Education Foundation’s Endowment Fund.  Gifts to the Endowment Fund secure the long-term support the foundation is able to provide Mansfield ISD. For more information contact Jennifer Kurecka at 817-299-6323 or jenniferkurecka@misdmail.org.
