Who can apply? MISD employees who:
Currently work in Mansfield ISD as a paraprofessional
Hold a Bachelor's degree and meet all college acceptance policies
Desire to be certified in the area of Special Education or English Language Learners
Have a 2.75 GPA on the last 60 hours of college course work
How do I apply?

What is the Education Foundation’s role in the Frances Brownlie Scholarship Program?
Process expense reimbursements to all program applicants
Pay Tarleton directly for tuition cost
Track and manage all incoming donations and outgoing expenses
Will the program pay for a test preparation course?
Yes. We realize it may have been a while since you have been in school and earned your bachelor’s degree and we want to help you be successful. The Education Foundation will reimburse each applicant for one official test prep course and one program entrance exam.
What if I do not pass the exam with the minimum standard, will the MISD Education Foundation still pay for my exam and test prep course?
Yes, the MISD Education Foundation will still reimburse you for the cost of the prep class and exam, with required documentation submitted. The Education Foundation will reimburse each applicant for one official test prep course and one program entrance exam only. Make sure to study and do your best. If you have to retake the test and prep course, you will be responsible for all associated cost.
Who pays the Tarleton tuition?
The Mansfield ISD Education Foundation will pay all tuition fees directly to Tarleton.
Will the program pay for my books, test prep and testing?
Yes. You will pay for your books needed for your classes, submit the required documentation/receipts required and the MISD Education Foundation will reimburse you, usually within 3-5 business days. For more information on reimbursements, call 817-299-6355.
