Outdoor Learning Center - National Semiconductor Math & Science Grant
Grant funds provided workstations, classrooms and trails in the new Outdoor Learning Center located next to Timberview High School. The Learning Center will provide students with a unique resource to study ecology, life cycles, energy cycles, plant diversity, water quality, insect diversity, weather patterns and various art concepts. The Learning Center and its surrounding path allow students the opportunity to investigate native flora, explore the impacts of the community on an ecosystem, and will provide the elementary schools access to investigational science in an outdoor park environment that would not be possible within the traditional school.
