Explore!! (Improving Science Skills through Hands-On Laboratory Experiments)
Grant funds provided microscopes, balances, prepared slide sets, weight sets, and much more to set up a science laboratory room at Tarver Rendon Elementary School. By improving science education, the student’s ability to analyze, synthesize and draw conclusions improves. Students want to be challenged, to think about information in new and different ways. Discovery and investigation are central to science. Through laboratory science students think on a higher level, understand more because they have experienced the information hands-on and are able to work more cooperatively with one another to achieve a common goal.
