Cowboys Count with Winning Numbers
Melanie Garrett’s kindergarten class at Imogene Gideon Elementary are learning sequential counting, as well as ordinal counting with their new youth sized Cowboy jerseys. The students wear the jerseys and then place themselves in sequential order. By having students wear their assigned number/jersey, these concrete learners will better identify and understand the representation and correlation of the number, its value and its place in sequential order.
