The foundation wants to make sure that all MISD teachers and staff members receive this information in order to understand and participate in grant funding provided by the Mansfield ISD Education Foundation.

If you are a Mansfield ISD Education Foundation grant winner and have fully implemented your grant idea please let us know. We want to feature your grant on the website complete with a detailed description of your grant, photo gallery and chance to be featured in the foundation annual marketing video. Please send us photos in the jpeg format and a word document explaining your grant.

We encourage anyone in the district and the community to become a subscriber of the MISD Education Foundation's newsletter and you will receive foundation news relevant to your needs. Allen J. Mansfield ISD Education Foundation releases NEW 2008 Marketing Video - Produced by Allen J. Oliver Productions in Association with the Mansfield ISD Education Foundation. Annual Drive Chairman, Mark Matula and Foundation Board Member, Tamara Hilliard hosts the 2008 Mansfield ISD Education Foundation Annual Drive Celebration, see new and innovative teaching grants in action. Also, special guest appearances by Superintendent Vernon Newsom and a host of grant recipients. Mansfield Night with the Stars - Monday November 19, 2007 @ 7:30 pm!
Monday November 19, 2007 @ 7:30 pm - Dallas Stars vs. Los Angeles Kings. THE DALLAS STARS AND THE MANSFIELD ISD ARE COLLABORATING TO RAISE MONEY FOR THE MANSFIELD ISD EDUCATION FOUNDATION. The Harlem Ambassadors - Coming February 7, 2008 to Legacy High School - The Harlem Ambassadors vs. the Mansfield All-Stars benefiting the Mansfield ISD Education Foundation at Legacy High School, Thursday, February 7, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. Come see the Harlem Ambassadors Show with guest appearances by Deion Sanders, Spud Webb, Ken Hill (former Texas Ranger), Carlos Francis (Oakland Raiders), Kevin Mathis (Atlanta Falcons) and many more. Grants in Action - Landforms, Erosion and Environmental Engineering Lab!
Cross Timbers Intermediate School - $4,600. Teachers: Wendy Purdy, Larita Lanier, Ricky Kizer, Nancy Mosley and Burke Egner. All 5th and 6th grade students will be exposed to the vocabulary, visual and hands-on experiences the physical earth encounters due to environmental and human interactions. The following materials were purchased for this grant: sandboxes with lids, watering cans, sand for boxes, clay pots, digging tools and PVC pipe for drainage experiments. This will benefit the students at Cross Timbers with hands on learning. The students will explore ways to problem solve environmental issues. Largest Staff Appeal in History of Foundation!
Staff donations to the Education Foundation this year were the largest ever. The Education Foundation thanks the staff for their generous contributions this year. Two campuses that were outstanding this year were Mansfield High School with the largest contribution of $12,500 and the largest contribution from an Elementary campus was Thelma Jones, with a total of $2,210.00. Steve Gast, principal of Mansfield High School, and Dr. Bill Fisher was the Staff Appeal representative for the foundation this year. MISD Education Foundation Kickoff - HUGE Success!!!
Lead Gifts totaling $217,700 was presented at the MISD Education Foundation Kick-off Breakfast on November 1, 2007. We thank these companies for taking the lead in our 2007-2008 Annual Drive toward our goal of $355,000.
